Construction Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our construction sites!

Please note the steps below must be completed before your first day of volunteering for safety and insurance purposes.

STEP 1:

Individual Volunteers:  please review the Individual Volunteer Packet packet. This packet contains the volunteer application and the release and waiver of liability. These forms must be returned to the Habitat office prior to your volunteer day.

Group Volunteers: please review the Construction Volunteer PacketThis packet contains the volunteer application, which only has to be filled out by the Group Leader, the release and waiver of liability, which all individuals in the group must fill out and a skill survey sheet which all the individuals in the group must fill out. These forms must be returned to the Habitat office prior to your volunteer day. ** If you are from a corporation interested in team building and hosting a Corporate Build, please click here.

STEP 2:

All volunteers must complete three (3) mandatory online safety courses; Volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity Job-site, Fall Safety and Scaffolds.

Please visit www.hfhvolunteerinsurance.com and follow the instructions.

Upon completion of these courses, a certificate is emailed to the Habitat Office. If you do not pass the courses the first time, you are able to take them again.

The application and waiver must be filled out and sent back to us at gchabitatinfo@verizon.net

STEP 3:  

Individual Volunteers: Once the above steps have been completed, please visit Volunteer Hub to sign up to volunteer at a job site.

Group Volunteers: Please email your selected work day to gchabitatinfo@verizon.net at least 2 weeks prior to the date you want to volunteer.

Once your entire application is submitted, we will add you to our Construction Connection e-mail list.  You will receive e-mails on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays explaining where we are building and what we will be doing at the job sites on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
