Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity’s 11thth Annual “Build a House… Build a Dream” Golf Outing Raises Over $45,000 for Homeownership Program

Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity hosted the 11th Annual “Build a House… Build a Dream” Golf Outing on Tuesday, June 8th at Scotland Run Golf Club.  The annual event raised over $45,000 to support the 18-month Homeownership Program.

Committed to building a better community through the transformative power of affordable homeownership, Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity’s Homeownership Program is an innovative program that provides a tremendous impact on family and community health, improved education outcomes for children, and increased financial stability and opportunity, and the cascading effect are far-reaching and transformational.

Throughout the day 140 golfers enjoyed the greens and networking all while bringing attention to the need for affordable housing in Gloucester County. During dinner, Habitat for Humanity honored outgoing Board Chair, Danny Sulpizio for his 8 years of volunteerism.  During his tenure Danny was a builder… literally and figuratively for the affiliate. It is with passion & commitment to the community that Ronda Abbruzzese steps into the role of President of the Board for Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity.

To make the event even a little more special, the Russell Family, a family in the Homeownership program, won a 70” flat screen TV donated by TeleCorp Inc.
