DESCRIPTION:Women Build 2024\nEmpowered Women\, Empowers Families.\nIn 2024\, we’re focusing on the week leading up to Mother’s Day to celebrate Women Build in Gloucester County. Women and children make up the majority of people populating Habitat neighborhoods as they are the most likely to be effected by poor living conditions. The Women Build is an opportunity for women-owned and women-led organizations to partner with Gloucester County Habitat to support affordable housing. \nBy recruiting\, educating\, and inspiring women\, we can transform lives in Gloucester County. Any woman who wants to learn how to build and construct a home is invited to join us. This is an opportunity for you to get on the construction site and learn new skills! In addition to learning new skills\, the event provides a unique opportunity for women to have a direct role in creating affordable housing solutions through construction\, collaboration\, and advocacy. Whether you’re already a handywoman or have never picked up a drill\, Women Build is a platform where all women can assist in building a better Gloucester County. \nVolunteering during Women Build\nHabitat homes are built with 80% volunteer labor. No construction experience is necessary. We provide you with all of training necessary on site. \nWomen Build Sponsorship Opportunities\nGloucester County Habitat is raising funds in partnership with local business women and their companies.
