DESCRIPTION:WHAT: As part of a nationwide effort to build and repair 350 affordable homes for families\, the\nWells Fargo Foundation awarded a $30\,000 grant to Gloucester County Habitat for\nHumanity to construct 2 homes in Glassboro and Woodbury. On November 16th\, Wells\nFargo employees will join Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity to help build outdoor\nstorage for the Habitat home. \nAt least one in six New Jersey households spend over half of their income on housing\n[see Cost of Home data for your state: www.habitat.org/costofhome/learn-more] and the\nnumber of Gloucester County families who are struggling to afford rent is on the rise. (November 20\, 2023) –The Wells Fargo Foundation has awarded $30\,000 in grants to Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity to build two homes in Woodbury and Glassboro. Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity is one of more than 230 Habitat for Humanity affiliates awarded grant funding nationwide through the 2023 Wells Fargo Builds program to help more low to moderate income families access affordable homes.  \nThe grant to Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity along with the support of Wells Fargo volunteers will help build two brand-new homes as a commitment to providing affordable homeownership opportunities to low-moderate income individuals and families. \n“We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Wells Fargo\, which allows us to continue providing safe and affordable homeownership opportunities for low-income residents in our communities\, building a better\, thriving Gloucester County\, together\,” said Ashley Griffiths\, Executive Director\, Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity.\n“As the Bank of Doing\, we’re committed to opening pathways to affordable homeownership for more individuals so they can pass that legacy on and grow generational wealth\,” said Paralee Knight\, Vice President of Philanthropy and Community Impact for New Jersey\, Pennsylvania\, and Delaware at Wells Fargo. “These two new homes in Woodbury and Glassboro align perfectly with that effort\, and we salute the entire team at Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity for their help to create a future where everyone can have a quality place to live.”\nOn November 16th\, Wells Fargo volunteers will join Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity to help the Toro family.
