Homeownership Program Information Session

You are encouraged to attend an information session to learn more about Habitat Philadelphia’s homeownership program and to receive an application.

No registration is required to attend. This session will run on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will not be admitted of you arrive after the starting time of the session, so please arrive on time!

We will explain how the program works and hand out applications, but you will not hand anything in at the info session.

CAPABLE Information Session

This information session will be held at the Brewerytown Sharswood NAC, 3000 D West Master Street. 

Communities Aging in Place – Advancing Better Living for Elders (CAPABLE) is a home based program that focuses on you and your health. The Habitat team will assist you through home repairs that address your living goals, in partnership with an occupational therapist and a registered nurse. CAPABLE in-home services include:

  • 6 Occupational Therapy visits
  • 4 Registered Nurse visits
  • Installation of accessibility equipment and home modifications by Habitat

Eligibility:

  • 65 years old or older
  • Homeowner or live with the homeowner
  • Trouble with one or more activities in daily living (cooking, bathing, going to and from the home, etc.)
  • Priority will be given to applicants who live within one of Habitat’s service areas (Brewerytown, Sharswood, Belmont, Mantua, Mill Creek), though others are welcome to apply
  • Household income at or below 50% AMI
