Golf Outing raises $30,000

June 9, 2022

$30,000 raised at Annual Charity Golf Tournament for Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity

Pitman, NJ. (June 9, 2022) –  Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity (GCHFH) is excited and grateful to announce that the 12th Annual “Build a House, Build a Dream” Golf Outing exceeded expectations, raising  $30,000 in net proceeds that will help the affiliate complete their 51st house, located in Woodbury, and start 3 additional properties throughout Gloucester County. Once complete, GCHFH will have provided a safe, decent, and affordable place to call home for 4 families, seven adults and eight children.

“We want to thank all our participants, sponsors, volunteers, Bogey’s and Pitman Golf Course staff, as well as our own dedicated staff for making our annual golf outing an enormous success. As a direct result of the efforts and generosity of everyone involved, we will able to grow our mission this year, helping to build family strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership” said Ashley Griffiths, GCHFH’s Executive Director.

The tournament, played as a scramble, had 108 golfers take the greens, seeing Jim Puderbach, Ray McKay Jr., John Styles, and Chris Nacelli, employees and guests of First Harvest Credit Union, one of GCHFH’s dedicated partners, take first place. The event culminated in a silent raffle that saw bidders grabbing their chance to win signed Philadelphia sports memorabilia, beauty baskets, gift cards to local businesses, and more.

A special thank you to our sponsors: First Harvest Credit Union, Orbit Power & Energy, Orbit Energy, Hoffman Exterminating, Nexus Properties, Robbie Conley Architect, Good Wheels, Bruce & Becky Roesler, Pitman Animal Hospital, ADS, Astro Signs, Romano Realty, ABC Supplies, Inspira Health, Serve Pro Deptford/Woodbury, West Deptford Energy, Ray Kratz All State, PSE&G, Paulsboro Refinery, Spartan Digital, Heritages Dairy Store, and South Jersey Magazine.
