Jim Jefferson is serving his fourth term on the Gloucester County Board of Commissioners and currently serves as Deputy Director. In this role, he oversees the Department of Health and Human Services, including Health, Senior Services, Social Services, Youth Services, Parks and Recreation, and other community programs.

With more than a decade of government experience, Jefferson previously served as a Constituent Relations Specialist and Special Assistant to New Jersey General Assembly Speaker Joseph J. Roberts Jr. He also serves as an Associate Board Member of the New Jersey State Parole Board, working on the Juvenile Panel.

Jefferson is actively involved in community outreach through the Saints Prison Ministry and brings his commitment to service and community development to the Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity Board. He lives in Woodbury with his wife, Anne, and their three children.
